| Tac: Ok, there's...some glitches I've discovered recently. Lundon: Yeah We- Tac: This is gonna be you. Lundon: Tac: I thought so. Anyway, found some interesting little glitches. 1: When typing a message in response to someone else, and they somebody ELSE types a message in before you, you get a little note telling you there was a message typed before you got a chance to finish yours. This is AWESOME because if your in an RP and someone takes an action before your finished typing your pose, you can edit right then and there to match what they typed. However, the NOTE that you get telling you someone has typed a new message is........odd. 2. In the express yourself board...or any board at that if you press "reload" at any time while writing your message, it sends the message to the forum. That is how there are "Three" headache messages at the moment. So I write this wondering if there's any admins out there interested in fixing these or at least looking into them. If anyone else spots any more glitches, post 'em here. | |

Ok, you guys. Glitch = An Error. This topic informs us of certain glitches on the forum. I don't know if it can be said any simpler. Look, guys. You can't rely on others to translate or simplify for you all the time. If it was the matter of a single word, or maybe two words, That's fine. We'd be glad to help. But you can't ask us to simplify entire threads just for your own sakes. That's too much work for something that is, quite frankly, your own responsibilities. I Hear you on this. I'm not English/American either, and has encountered the exact same problem when I was younger and new to the internet. Here is some tips that helped me learn English: 1) Watching English series with sub titles. Try to relate the text with the dialogue. This helped me a lot, and I often like to say that The Simpsons taught me English I know this is not as common in your countries as I believe both German and French media synchronize most English-speaking television broadcasts. 2) Read books you have read in your main language in English. I did this with the Harry Potter books and the Sandman-series by Neil Gaiman. I Actually came to prefer the English version after this, as the translators tend to give the character and places new (and often ridiculous) names. My final tip is just to make an effort. We can't have this forum flooded with "I don't understand!" This goes especially for you, Olwe. I didn't like seeing that you used the "-_-" emoticon, as if you expected us to translate/simplify it four you. As if it was our job or something. It comes of as very impolite.

I'm in total agreement with Kit on this. I don't encounter translation problems much because I'm English/American, but for other languages (in particular Japanese) I watch series in that language with English subtitles to help me understand the language better. And yes Olwe, you're acting very impolite on here especially with the spamming. Which is getting quite bothersome.
